The Du Laboratory at University of Wisconsin - Madison McPherson Eye Research Institute and Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences  is interested in revealing the unique metabolic network within retina, with a focus on understanding how metabolic dysregulation contributes to retinal degenerative diseases including age-related macular degeneration, retinitis pigmentosa, and diabetic retinopathy. The goal of this research is to develop novel treatments to fight blindness based on our findings.
